Plant and its Ingredients
INULIN consists of chain of at least 10 FRUCTOSE-molecules; shorter
chains are known as OLIGOFRUCTOSE or FRUCTO-OLIGO- SACCHARIDES
(FOS).
They cannot be digested by the human organism, have superb dietary
fibre impact and are low in calories.
Individual FRUCTOSE-molecules are in contrast digestible and have
great sweetening power.
Diabetics have with Jerusalem Artichoke a “Natural Sweetener” available to them as INULIN and FRUCTOSE don’t create insulin demand during digestion.
Jerusalem Artichoke acts prebiotic. The development of positive
lacto bacilli and bifidus bacteria of the intestinal flora is being
supported and the digestion activated.
Highly topical is the full-feeling and weight loss effect of the
Jerusalem Artichoke in the face of increasing problems through
malnutrition and weight gain.
The phytochemiclas (polyphenole) have antioxidant capacities. As
free radical scavengers it is said that they have anticancer and
immune system strengthen properties.
In animal feed Jerusalem Artichoke is for pets as well as farm
animals a downright health feed crop. It has taste advantages and
influence feed intake and feed conversion ratio. Through its
prebiotic “cleaning functions” a damaged gastro-flora can be
regenerated and medication can be reduced.
